Kanaka Perea is a freelance graphic designer and the marketing director for a small hot springs resort in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado. Kanaka's design work led her to discover the joy of crafting words for marketing where she enjoys the wordier side of promotion: creating content for websites, blogs, newsletters, and other print media.

In addition to her "work" writing, she has written several short stories and devotions aimed at everyday situations. Her writing is heartfelt and transparent, inviting readers to join her in the delights and trials of life. As a reader, she is drawn equally to true stories as well as fiction.

She has been a member of Wolf Creek Christian Writers Network since 2017.

Her fiction work, Saving Abbey's Mom, is her story in the Looking at Life anthology.
