  Every Day, I Stand in Awe by Jan Davis

  "Let all the earth fear the LORD" let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him." - Psalm 33:8

  Today, I stand in awe of our Lord and Savior.

  When I pause and reflect upon God's mercy and grace he showers over me, I stand in awe of his goodness and faithfulness.

  He knew me before i ws conceived in my mother's womb. He showed mercy when I felt unlovable and undeserving of His love. His grace is constant in my life, yesterdya, today and forever.

  I stand in awe.

  His love surrounds me in the beauty of his creation. From my deck I see the majestic mountains as the sun is rising in the east and I feel his joy for a new day. I sense His presence as I feel the wind in my face. I see His sovereignty in the stately pines and aspens. I find His peace in the flowing rivers and streams. I know His confidence as I watch the eagles soar effortlessly in the sky.

  Everywhere I look, I see His goodness and faithfulness to His creation and I stand in awe.

  The sun will set in the mountains tonight, displaying His majesty, and I will have hope for a new tomorrow. As the seasons come and go, the leaves will fall from the aspens, making a canopy on top of the frozen ground, the rivers and streams will freeze over and the mountains wll be covered with a layer of fresh snow. Yet His mercy and grace towards me will be renewed each morning and His goodness and faithfulness will remain unwavering.

  I stand in awe.
